For The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, skillful selection of casks enhances the signature fruity flavours of The Glenlivet with traditional oak casks being complemented by selective use of American first-fill casks to give a hint of creamy sweetness and creating an exceptionally well-balanced and smooth malt.
TASTING NOTES:
Nose:Dried fruit such as raisins as well as fresh, ripe apples and pears.
Palate:Syrupy sweetness, toffee and caramel, tied together with more apple and a touch of banana, oozing with ripe juice and a hint of vanilla spice.
Finish: Creamy vanilla accompanied by toffee and caramel.
